Why do you want to race for Team
Eleonore Rocks?
As much fun as tris can be to know that when you are
out on a long training swim, bike, or run that you are helping out others
especially kids is just awesome.
Why should we choose you?
I will represent ER by training hard, spreading the
message using my position as a teacher and coach to reach as many people is
possible to explain what ER is all about and what we are trying to do.
What philanthropic endeavors are you involve in?
My wife and I are active in our church as well as the
Stefanie Spielman Foundation and other cancer research endeavors like Pelotonia
What is your background (school, hometown, current
town, major, etc.)?
Thomas Worthington HS-Worthington, Ohio (Water Polo
and Swimming), Syracuse University—BA in Political Science and Broadcast
Journalism (Water Polo), Ashland University—Masters in Education, Currently
Reside in Dublin, Ohio
How did you get involved in triathlon?
Had grown tired of working out without a specific goal
or focus and with my swimming background triathlons were a natural choice,
although my running remains a work in progress!
What is your favorite of the 3 sports in triathlon?
Why?
Swimming is my best, Cycling is my favorite because
there is nothing like the feeling of being out on a long ride by yourself.
What inspires you?
First and foremost my friends and family, but also
doing something/anything for a purpose.
Getting better at anything I do, helping others and myself try and reach
their goals as well.

Wife—Nicole

Cats—Tommy and Elphie
What is your big boy/girl job?
I am Social Studies teacher at Dublin Scioto High
School as well as coaching swimming at
water polo at Upper Arlington High School and with the Upper Arlington Swim Club.
What kind of goals do you have for the year?
I would like to get my 70.3 time close to our under 6
hours, compete in a few more races and work on my running and biking!
What is your favorite training spot?
Glacier Ridge Park because of how challenging it is,
windy and hilly but very pretty.
